memories and new ideas

(Christmas 2006: pre-wedding, pre-baby #3 (my sister's), pre-dark hair, pre-new ideas. It was the year of the elf hats)

This rocked my world. If you are interested in something bigger than yourself, please click here. Around our house, Christmas is not a day it's a season. It technically starts the day after Thanksgiving, (mostly thanks to my sister who appropriately makes sure that we celebrate Thanksgiving before Christmas), but oftentimes I start sneaking in the Christmas music a week or so before Thanksgiving. When that cool weather hits, I can hardly contain myself.

To me, Christmas time is the best time of year. Everything about it is my favorite. My favorite weather. My favorite decorations. My family. Giving. Sharing delicious food and drink. Celebrating the best birthday of all time. Watching my favorite movies. Memories. Listening to my favorite music. Starting traditions. Keeping traditions. Looking at Christmas lights...the list doesn't end. Ever. To me, Christmas is so many things. It is impressive, majestic, magnificent, splendid, glorious. It is wonderful. However, Christmas has changed for me this year... For the better. We are going to do things differently. My family is doing things differently. My friends are doing things differently. My church is doing things differently...and it feels good. We will celebrate Christmas just as big and grand as ever, just in a new way. So, check it out if you feel like being passionate about something.

Happy Christmas season to all...happy winter...happy December. I hope you are able to enjoy the next 21 days to their fullest.

PS- I almost forgot to mention, we are doing great in the new home. Still getting settled, but really loving it out here. I will post pictures when I get around to actually taking some. :)
