now that the friendly weeds are gone,

i just have to decide what to put in their place... flowers, huh? but what kind? any suggestions?

Beautiful! Good job! Big pat on your back. As for flower suggestions, is this area generally sunny, partially-sunny, or downright shady?

Also, do you get frost?

ok, so the space gets partial sun. we don't really get frost, but we do get extreme heat...like 100's+ in the summer, for months at a time...

any ideas?!?

Vinca is a great bright green waxy leaf ground cover that gets cute purple flowers. You would like it, and it would like living in that spot between the house and garage. Probably 1 flat would fill in both sides of the flower beds.

Partial sun, drought-resistant...

Penstemon, fox gloves, scabiosa, bacopa, lamb's ears,...

I would also ask your local nursery. Hope that helps!
