invites

i ran across some invitations i did a while back that i never posted about and it's been a while since i've posted something crafty, so i thought it would be a nice little break! i always think it's fun to get ideas and inspiration from invitations, don't you?

the 'cute as a button' theme was for my sisters 2nd baby shower...it was such a cute shower that matched all the bright colors of the invitation...lots of bright gerbera daisies, oranges, and lemons, and limes. too bad we didn't get one picture! why are showers always so crazy?! :)

these invites were so easy! we bought "fill-in-the-blank" packs of invitations at target and printed out the information on colored pieces of paper instead of using the "fill-in-the-blanks." we glued different colored buttons on the top of each invitation as a face, and topped it off with a tiny ribbon and a curly-q drawn on for hair. super easy!

this is a sample invite we used for this fall baby shower. invites had either brown or yellow felt leaves glued on the front.

this invitation is from a baby shower i did a few years ago for my friends first baby shower!

we did one invitation in two colors...the shower was chocolate brown, lime green, and hints of pink and purple.

we layered two pieces of card stock on top of each other and used eyelets and wire to create a mini clothesline.

we used mini-clothespins to hang tiny dresses and bloomers (cut out of green and purple fabrics) from the clothesline. unfortunately, we only cut enough dresses for the invitations that were mailed out to the guests, which meant i never got any for my invitation. (why do i always do that to myself?!) you can imagine a cute little dress hanging up on that clothesline though can't you?

well that's all for now! if you'd like to see any more invitations or custom paper design, you can find it here!
